Established in 1984, the Iberia Industrial Development Foundation (IDF) serves as the primary facilitator of Economic Development Activities for Iberia Parish, Louisiana, connecting current and potential businesses with the abundance of resources this area has to offer. Through partnerships with the Iberia Economic Development Authority (IEDA) and the Iberia Development Foundation (IDF), we bring together all the information and services needed by site selectors, expanding businesses and entrepreneurs to locate, create and operate business enterprises in Iberia Parish.

Serving the communities of New Iberia, Jeanerette, Loreauville and Delcambre, Louisiana as well as the Port of Iberia, Acadiana Regional Airport and LeMaire Memorial Airport Industrial Park Complexes, we also provide a central location for dissemination of information of available resources that create business opportunities.

Who We Are

The IDF is a member-driven organization made up of both public entities and private business members. It is governed by a 20 member Board of Directors which is made up of representatives from all local governing bodies, and local business leaders.

Helping local companies of all sizes grow and prosper, we offer free of charge comprehensive business planning services as well as information on programs designed to help in expanding your business.

The Iberia Economic Development Authority (IEDA), a state chartered authority, with a focus on moving Iberia Parish forward in the public domain with realistic, actionable ideas and projects that are attainable now or in the near future.

Whether expanding fiber optics, examining the connectivity of our industrial parks, building new business parks or identifying new sites for shovel ready development or improving our intermodal assets, our focus is always to ask “How can we make it better now?”

The Iberia Development Foundation (IDF) was founded in 2011 as a 501c3 Non-Profit foundation to perform community and economic development activities in Iberia Parish and surrounding coastal areas.

Working with partners across South Louisiana to facilitate our larger mission, the IDF focuses on recruiting new business opportunities for Iberia and its municipalities as well as assisting existing businesses to grow and prosper. Advocating for Iberia Parish, and helping South Louisiana businesses to reach their full potential, IDF also seeks to provide community development activities to enhance and better the lives of those in our coastal communities.
